I presently hold 4 Aussie stocks. I always check both markets before placing an order. The fundamental difference with my US Broker (Schwab) is that I can buy any Aussie stock listed with the US OTC such as LKE free of charge but if I purchase them via the ASX I am charged $100 plus a minimal FX fee. I actually placed my first LKE with the ASX because despite the fees the price difference was significant and I was able to buy an additional 200 shares.
