Perhaps NASA plans to use Akida on Venus missions to "sniff" out life via detectable gases apparently a possibility in the cooler high attitude and more earthlike terrain. Would think that a hardened Akida could also be extremely useful on approach to the planet where radiation intensity will max out before taking cover in it's atmosphere...
perhaps further unknown communication problems will exist within it's atmosphere that only Akida will provide a solution too.
