Hi MMH,

Intel's patent did get granted after they amended the claims in the initial application by adding the feature of a sampling window with a duration as long as the longest key word.

This means they are continuously monitoring the input stream of spikes until they get a match.

In other words, they use a different method to recognize key words compared with the way we do it in our patent US10157629.

This patent is independent of our patent. The problem was that their claims in their initial application were too broad and the USPTO patent examiner required them to narrow the scope of their claims.
