I was having a little look at what Professor Iliadis and co have been up to over in Greece.
They have apparently been working on a spiking neural network cyber security solution for securing blockchain.

I recently noticed that NASA and DARPA are looking at the use of blockchain to try and improve cyber security.
The above might be a useful area for research.
My opinion only DYOR.
