I came across a interview done on the “Pi Cast” with Eben Upton who is the current CEO of raspberry Pi and at around the 8.50 mark he says
“Let’s face it, Raspberry Pi is basically a ARM shop”
and then continues talking about the Cores they get from ARM and the possible features of the upcoming raspberry Pi’s.
Could we sign a material contract with ARM to be used in the raspberry Pi? Well why not.
