As the article was not directed at AKIDA specifically I wondered about the neural fabric and whether the spaces between the nodes can actually be stretched out to take advantage or if this makes no sense and defeats the whole basis of the design and would dramatically increase power consumption and slow down performance?

Any thoughts @BarrelSitter?

That'ud be what the experts refer to as the Big Space Theory.

Increasing the architecture size does slow the speed and increase power consumption, but, I would imagine, not so much as to cancel the power and speed savings from spike sparcity, which I guess would be orders of magnitude greater than the increased losses.
