This patent adds SRAM memory and creates a further significant advance in processing of image using convolutional neural networks as found in the AKIDA SCNN technology.
The advances made in this patent have not to my knowledge been discussed previously by Brainchip particularly with regards to the improvements to how the unsupervised learning rule has been modified, improved and made more efficient.
My impression is that if I have understood the significance of this patent it has made AKIDA technology much more attractive for use in autonomous robots including motor vehicles.
I am not an engineer and would strongly recommend looking to the opinion of others more qualified before taking note of my opinion and most certainly do your own research.
