Well I don't talk to Intel but BarrelSitter has made the point that they should in fact just bite the bullet and buy AKIDA IP.

There was an article posted here some months ago now that reported the fellow who is immediately above Mike Davies stating (cannot presently remember his name but am sure @uiux or @BarrelSitter will) that they had hit a dead end with Loihi and needed to go back to the drawing board. (my words not an exact quote.)

This article came out a few weeks after Mike Davies had his little melt down on Twitter or was it Facebook as a result of being confronted with the Anil Mankar statement that he said if you want to do research see Intel if you want a chip now see Brainchip. It struck me after this article that Mike Davies had probably been under a great deal of pressure over the road block that Loihi had hit and this was the reason for his outburst.
