Sorry missed this. Been a long term holder of BRN and happy to admit I still find the tech confusing. Hope I can clarify & explain a little.

Years ago I heard PVDM explain the role of neurons and synapses in learning and remembering in the brain. That we have no central memory like a computer, that our synapses are responsible for storing memory and how Akida's synapses would do the same. Early images of the Akida architecture did not show any memory associated with the chip (ok,external memory if required). It's only been more recently that BRN have shown that a very small amount of SRAM is distributed through the Akida neuron fabric.

Maybe a better way of asking the question.

Like the ARM CPU, is the SRAM in Akida licensed IP from a third party? If so,who?
