2021 BRN Discussion, page-22087

Just for interest and to compare with FF's regular update that less than half a percent of the issued BRN stock has been traded today, I can report that from 1 January 2021 2,847,570,198 shares have been traded (roughly!) In 174 trading days. Given we know that that Peter and Anil have sold only small parcels of their big holdings and Robert Mitro none that I'm aware of then taking them out means that the remaining shares have been sold roughly twice during the year.

So what's going on? Is everyone selling out? Fear setting in? All the small holders bailing? Well, we knew from many moons ago that we had 30odd thousand shareholders and the more recent post from Doz said we have 37,000 now, that relatively few seem to be running for the hills. In fact our numbers have increased by a few thousand.

I was just having a bit of fun looking at this - but it underscores for me that we continue to see lots of trading either for small profits or to try to hold the share price and accumulate. @Doz said the top 1000 own about 72%. So all of this just makes me comfortable holding long-term and watching from the sidelines (apart from the top-ups that are like Sirens to me when the price goes under 50 cents....)
