I don't mean to criticise Rob Telson, but I think the fact that there was no extensive pre-training should have been emphasised e.g. In the demo video they should have recorded the staff plugging in the Akida SoC on the card AND training the software on the 6 or so images for the race car and bike. I noticed this omission when viewing the demo and it was confirmed by the questions that Rob answered after on pre-training of the neural network.
