The robot reminds me very much of Aldebaran's NAO robot which has been out for many, many years now. I wish I had acquired one when they were a lot less expensive, but they are very impressive and contain several useful sensors including those for auditory and visual interaction.
I think Brainchip would be a perfect complimentary processor for this little fellow.
