U.S. and China
Between 1998 and 2017, the U.S. filed more AI patent applications than any other country, with around 50,000 applications submitted, according to data from the World Intellectual Property Organization. Next was China, with around 41,000 over the same time period, while the U.K. filed less than 2,000.

Eric Schmidt, co-founder of Schmidt Futures, and ex CEO of Google, (personal worth 24billion? ... the interview had some interest insight into social wellfare, and with current world leader needing a change as to what roles they had got themselve stuck in.. a need for a better world.
interesing comments on AI, (benefical) and a G6.
He also has connection within the US defence, beliefing not enough is being done to counter the 'evil' in tech.
