The single strongest signal for shorts to open positions is when management decide to sell shares, which has occurred on several occasions.
There are plenty of other reasons to of course - many of which apply to BRN - but the above factor is the most significant IMO.
I don't short sell, never have or will, but I can see the opportunities to do so when presented.
