I have also asked myself this question. In all videos known to me so far, unknown objects are assigned to objects that have already been learned. I suspect that the object with the closest match is selected. But suppose I want to program a door so that only certain people have access, then it is of course not useful if an arbitrary person is assigned to those to whom I grant entry. But surely this is just a matter of programming.
