I think there's a mixture of answers to your question.

- Humans like a good debate, particularly when there's a robust difference of opinion.
- Trolling/teasing is a very human trait that every person learns when they're young. Sometimes people like to tease/troll others when they know they'll get a reaction. I've seen this work both ways in here.
- Covid lockdowns have created an environment where everyone is stuck at home behind a PC screen. Mostly, it doesn't lead to healthy outcomes - people don't listen to each other and just end up arguing.

Personally, I first came to this sub forum because I had bought into BRN. I since sold out. The thing that kept me here was being amazed at how devoted so many holders are to the BRN 'cause'. It's strange to me because I treat every stock as a means to an end (financial freedom). Whereas (some) holders in here (IMO) treat BRN as some kind of god-like deity.

Finally, another reason I've kept reading the BRN sub forum is because I fully recognise the stock has at least some potential to become a big earner in the future. If it starts to take off, I would certainly like to throw a few dollars in the ring.
