I agree no government will be able to completely shut it down except maybe China, North Korea,Iran and Russia but in the rest of the world most people completely shut down or not will comply with the law that is just the way it is.
Currently we have a thing called the dark web and some people populate it but most normal people who respect or fear the law do not use it.
I am not opposed to crypto I have made money from it. I am out at the moment but if memory serves me the co creators of bitcoin have branched out/moved on stating that blockchain is where the future value will be.
However even where blockchain is concerned someone could announce something tomorrow that works better.
Intel thought they had neuromorphic computing solved a few years ago.
Space X thought they had landing back on Earth cracked a few weeks ago.
Time and tide wait for no crypto or technology.
My opinion only DYOR.
