It's a bit like that expression i hate,..."how long is a piece of string?"
They could no doubt, get someone tomorrow, but the board is looking for that special someone, that particular someone with just the right mix of experience, specialist aptitude, abilities, contacts and with the right kind of drive and vision to lead the company to the next level.
Finding the "right" person who is both available and interested at this particular point in time may not be an easy task, and whilst many of us are impatient for "things" to be happening, and our company and share price to be growing, having the right person in this key role, at this critical time, is crucial to our success. So, it takes as long as it takes. 6, 9, 12 months are indicative guides only. They are actively seeking the right candidate and as much as I'd like it announced already, I would rather they take the time to get it right, the first time, so we can progress successfully into our next phase.
