So here are three from the top of my head:
1) For some reason Brainchip integration into products would be delayed sufficiently for Intel and IBM to catch up and get to market and they would both decide to sell their IP, so not only physical chips.
2) Intel would win people over to their ecosystem, because of promotion and adoption inside the academic world, where nobody heard about Brainchip. This would of course need to be supported by Intel selling their chip as IP, else they wouldn´t compete directly.
3)Some obscure company comes out of stealth mode with a product that is super easy to integrate and is way more powerful than Brainchip, also offered for IP licensing.
