What's the process of a takeover offer? Does the Offeror request the financial statements from the Offeree prior to making an offer, and in which case is the Offeree obliged to provide them (its in the interest of shareholders to receive an offer)? Will someone who's familiar with M&A please advise?
To me the TH due to a clarification about the Valeo relationship is increasingly unlikely given that it hasn't been settled yet after 1 business day and to draft a joint statement wouldn't take so long... something else is afoot.
