Qualcomm did actually pursue neuromorphic computing at one point, but as far as I remember, they switched to developing AI software. I don´t think they continued their neuromorphic chip endeavour, unless they did a trick on us and just took it in total dark mode. The timing is curious, with the official release of Brainchip, but could be a coincidence.
A possibility is that Qualcomm due to their own work with neuromorphic computing, came across Brainchip and thought it was a better solution?
