Maybe they refer to the function AKIDA serves, rather than what it actually is?...
We all know AKD1000 is a complete System on a chip, but its function is to enhance processing within an end-to-end system, by processing at the edge and thereby avoiding cloud turnaround times and network dependance (among lots of other things).
So, a complete sub-system on a chip, intended to accelerate a system's performance perhaps?
Maybe they refer to the function AKIDA serves, rather than what...
