On a free webinar session for X-members couple of years ago, I was recommended to buy Magellan shares by one of those Financial adviser in order to diversify/increase exposure to winning international stocks -MFG SP then was around $50 (today SP$19.7).... luckily ignored his Advice ... never bought any shares of MFG, instead bought more of BRN and the rest is history..
glad that I cancelled subscriptions in MF(was only 1 year), AFR, M* many years ago and it feel much better off.
