    There are two things to consider regarding what you take into account when valuing IP:

    1. The uniqueness of the IP and it’s importance to the end product it is incorporated into and the total products sale price; and

    2. The market power of the contracting parties.

    So as you point out @BarrelSitter if the AKIDA IP is the only reason a particular product can exist say a hand held unconnected medical diagnostic device then it will justify a significant premium on the royalty being paid.

    If in the fullness of time Brainchip attempted to exploit an existing relationship and on a renegotiation of contract tried to say double the price there is legal precedent for a Court to intervene and prevent this exploitation.

    At this moment in time Brainchip has a unique in all the world patent protected product offering that is primed to disrupt industries that currently do not exist and can only exist because of AKIDA.

    This type of unique position is what Apple exploited when it introduced its PC technology and charged almost twice what IBM was charging at the time.
