Hey mate. Commsec may be the same as Westpac so there should be a function to prints out or download the eoy financial statements. This will be available usually after a week or two after tax time - July 15th or something. You download or print out and then your accountant does it for you.
It is never transparent it just shows sells and buys and I also had to pay an additional 'trading' accountancy fee that can also be claimed on tax.
When I sell any shares I keep ledger that roughly follows the profit or loss I am making for the year. I advice all to do this so you know where you are.
