The following article released on 31 March, 2021 with one of the three lead authors being Professor Hossam Haick is incredibly interesting not only for the brilliance of what might be possible in the future but because of what we know to be the very close links between Professor Haick, NaNose and Brainchip. I have highlighted the last sentence of the abstract where it refers to the ability to continuously record, store and PREPROCESS the signals from the nanosensor. Is this just a coincidence that this is precisely what AKIDA technology does at the "far edge" at ultra low power and in very tiny form should you only be looking to have it do this for one single pattern in this case a single type of cancer cell.

Abstract
Detectionand monitoring of single cancer cells (SCCs), such as circulating tumor cells(CTCs), would be of aid in an efficient early detection of cancer, a tailored(personalized) therapy, and in a fast bedside assessment of treatment efficacy.Nevertheless, currently available techniques, which mostly rely on theisolation of SCCs based on their physical or biological properties, suffer fromlow sensitivity, complicated technical procedures, low cost-effectiveness, and beingunsuitable for continuous monitoring. We report here on the design and use ofan artificially intelligent nanoarray based on a heterogeneous set ofchemisensitive nanostructured films for the detection of SCCs using volatileorganic compounds emanating in the air trapped above blood samples containingSCCs. For demonstration purposes, we have focused on samples containing A549lung cancer cells (hereafter, SCCA549). The nanoarray developed to detect SCCA549 has>90% accuracy, >85% sensitivity, and >95% specificity. Detection worksirrespective of the medium and/or the environment. These results were validatedby complementary mass spectrometry. The ability to continuously record, store,and preprocess the signals increases the chances that this nanotechnology mightalso be useful in the early detection of cancer cells in the blood andcontinuous monitoring of their possible progression.
