Brainchip supplies its AKIDA technology IP to Renesas on an unconditional basis which allows Renesas to use the IP in any way it would like to for the purpose of satisfying its customers requirements. The former CEO made a strong point whenever he spoke of this deal of reinforcing the unconditional nature of the agreement.

Renesas suppliers IP, design services and manufactures chips incorporating IP it has created and IP which it has licenced to its various customers who include Apple, VW, Microsoft, Google and Dell making Renesas one of the largest companies of this type in the world and it presently sits at number three in the supply of chips to the automotive industry.

The significance of the relationship will in my opinion be well understood by the 60,000 followers of Alex the rocket scientist and those in the USA who he describes as over 40, wealthy and with a desire to invest in technology companies and they will be eyeing off with interest the upcoming promotion of Brainchip to the OTCQX given the strong endorsement of Brainchip by Alex.

If you doubt the fact that Apple, VW, Microsoft, Google and Dell are customers of Renesas by simply googling Renesas and the respective company you will find articles that confirm the relationship.

If you have been following the ARM takeover saga by Nvidia you will be aware that Apple, Microsoft and Google have all opposed this occurring because Nvidia is a competitor and ARM has been a preferred supplier to these companies. There are also many opinion pieces covering this issue which you can access by a simple google search but the bottom line is that if this takeover does proceed the importance of Renesas to these major companies will only increase to the advantage of Renesas IP suppliers such as Brainchip for obvious reasons.
