This is very interesting I can apprehend a situation where the conference organisers retain copyright in the presentations in return for allowing companies to present free or at minimal charge however that should be how they answer your question otherwise what they are doing is setting up a class of people who have greater access to information than shareholders generally which is on any definition facilitating insider trading.
Another question for the AGM that you might like to ask given you are the person they told to suck it and lump it. (or is it lump it and suck it)
