This is a must when trading, regardless if its day, +2d, short or swing trade.
Remember, you wont win all of them, the aim is to minimize the loss when it occurs, and not be afraid to take the loss, the loss will offset some of the CGT. Also, there are many fish in the sea, if you miss out on a rerate or a spike, so be it - you didn't actually lose. I missed out on VUL from $6 onwards, but made heaps up to $6, there are many opportunities out there.
