The reverse certainly is true as well.....

The mind boggles It is perfectly rational why some find it necessary to comment negatively optional to make positive contributions on the decisions and strategy of another without actually by adding any value in a contructive way.

The only explanation is that these individuals feel confronted intrigued by alternate choices.
Since they are not secure in their own choices it causes discomfort curiosity when presented with facts / actions / thoughts that differs from their own.

This cognitive dissonance needs to be relieved and the "easiest" way to do that is to attack the source of discomfort in an emotive way look at the facts from an objective perspective.... this way of dealing with cognitive dissonance adds no value to anyone everyone.
