My example stands.
The original scenario/example clearly stated a tax rate of 47%
Case A: NO realisation of gains
Case B: Realisation of gains, noting 47% tax rate as per the stated scenario!
This may not apply to you, but I never claimed that it did!
(perhaps it applies to me, or some others here... I'm sure it does btw)
All I originally stated was that the tax rate for the example was 47%.
Indeed, in such case, as shown clearly above, the additional amount payable at tax time on the $100k realised gain is $47k or 47%.

Instead of taking me up on the original offer of tweaking some parameters to investigate other scenarios, some chose to argue that what I posted was nonsense/wrong/irrelevant etc...
