Not believing in charts is s a good start, its not about believing in them, its only about looking at them to see were price is at now and how its reacting to recent history, some reactions are highly repetitive in the short to med term and with a bit of experience a chart trader can follow price as a pattern plays out, sometime were in tune with it other times were not.
