i disagree. he needed to be in front of shareholders the day the announcement was made (or the next day). the absolute radio silence killed the share price. the strategy around the announcement was very disappointing particularly given the complexity of the deal and how the announcement was (poorly) written. as an MD he needs to sell the story, not let rumours, unfilled gaps in details and misunderstanding take hold. he's also an average communicator so needs to work on being clearer in his messages and interviews.

just look at ioneer with their JV announcement a few weeks ago - MD was on zoom webinar to explain the details in the morning and the announcement was well written, Q&A covered key points and initial share price decline was arrested (but also due to the fact there was a price point at which market could take support at 65c with the JV partner taking a placement in ioneer).
