My guess regarding the work being performed in tandem is around the FEED. They will be able to draft the FEED for the 8 tpa plant while they work on the 1 tpa demonstration plant. As the demo plant is built they can then fine tune the FEED for the 8 tpa plant. Once the demo plant is in production and any scaling issues are resolved (in respect to the 1 tpa plant) they will start to build the larger plant. This would be all dependent on the HPA market growing as expected and customer demand for the product.

Would Alcoa produce this internally or would the likes of Gr Engineering be engaged to produce it? This I'm not sure and probably depends if Alcoa has the expertise in-house.
