    I don't think it's purposefully kept low. if a substantial holder wants out, it's very difficult due to the low liquidity. it'd take them weeks to get out slowly, and it'd inevitably cause a lag in the SP due to excess supply,

    if elon wanted to sell his 40% stake in tesla in one day the SP would crash. like that.
