I don't think they will have an excuse to do a "lightweight Scoping Study" anymore, in fact, I think I think they should make it as "heavy" as possible in order to contribute towards accelerating the delivery of the PFS.
Or if they don't want to invest any more time / resource in the lightweight Scoping Study because it is 90% complete and "they just need to plug in the numbers", they should already be working on the PFS directly.
Ultimately I would hope these short term delays are just that, and have little to no impact on the timelines Chris was selling to the market a few months ago when he was trying to convince everyone on the concept and validity of a "lightweight scoping study".
