CEZ wants to build its own gigafactory in Northern Bohemia and has also partnered with the Slovak InoBat, it should be a no-brainer for them to have an offtake with EMH.

"Our partnership with InoBat underlines the international cooperation project between the Czech and Slovak Republics in the field of electromobility. At the same time, it complements CEZ's other projects in the field of lithium mining in the Ore Mountains for the production of batteries for electric vehicles, as well as the considered Battery Gigafactory project in the Czech Republic," said Pavel Cyrani, CEZ's Vice Chairman of the Board and Strategy Director. Also, CEZ could through in a manganese contract with the EMN as well when at it, since they have some leverage, but that would depend on the chemistry of the batteries they want to make. CEZ said it is negotiating with the established battery makers from Japan, Korea, China to discuss a possible JV. If they partner with someone like LG Chem, it could make sense.
