Havieron is very unusual. Odd in fact. Nothing like Telfer at all.

To a geologist, it looks like a one-off. And at first glance, the the only thing it would seem to really have in common with Telfer is that they are both bloody big gold deposits.

And they are remarkably close together, which is unusual too. Gold deposits often occur in clusters, but not clusters of one-off World Class gold deposits.

Other thoughts I keep coming back to are that Newcrest, of all the players in the Paterson:

a) knows more about the explpration history of this area and of all this ground that mostly used to belong to them

b) knows more about Havieron than anybody else, as the operators of the project

c) knows more about Telfer than anybody else, as the operator of the mine, and

d) seems absolutely serious in its belief that there may be other Havierons or other Telfers nearby, eg. on the Antipa Wilkie Joint Venture ground.

Which begs the question: what have Newcrest seen so far in their JV drilling of those 'Havieron' targets?

And when do we get the initial assay results?
