What Merryl is probably saying, in view that they probably got their advise wrong many times in recent times, that it is safer to stay away from financials, as their is probably still a downside to it, and they dont want to take the gamble of saying otherwise, but as I said, I think long term, banks specially in australia are way undervalued, including MQG, but then again it is just my opinion, and I got it wrong many times !!!
