Sunday 26 February 2023 has Pacific National-operated grain trains that appear to be loading at Barellan (Temora-Griffith line) and the large GNC complex at Calleen (between Temora and Ungarie). From Calleen, the train once loaded has to run a short distance north to the closed GNC silos at Girral, as Calleen has a dead end siding but no run-round loop for the locomotives. Annoying, but as the Americans would say 'no deal breaker.'

Way further north, another GNC train is at Burren Junction where branch lines to Walgett and tiny Merrywinebone junction.

There are also empty grain trains such as between Unanderra and Moss Vale, south of Sydney, and on a line shared with many thermal coal trains between Singleton and Muswellbrook. A third is at Werris Creek, junction for the Armidale and Moree lines, but these three may or may not be for GNC, so I can't officially include them.

Moving the grain to ports like Port Kembla and Carrington, Newcastle (and for domestic users such as flour mills) is a 24/7 operation.
