Railing of the winter 2022 crop is continuing at what for this month of the year is breakneck speed.

At Boort on the broad gauge Manangatang (formerly Robinvale) line in Victoria, a Pacific National-operated GNC grain train is loading.

A standard gauge Victorian grain train is nearly at Berrybank (between North Shore, Geelong and Ararat on the Melbourne-Adelaide line): this will end up at GNC's huge silos at its Geelong Grain Loop, portside.

On the lonely Griffith to Hillston branch line that can only take lighter tonnage locomotives in NSW, an SSR grain train is loaiding domestic grain bound for the Allied Pinnacle mill at Maldon (on the Sydney-Melbourne main line between Campbelltown and Moss Vale, and not to be confused with Victoria's Maldon). SSR is loading from the GNC site from what I can see on the map: it has the contract for all domestic grain rail movements in NSW and Victoria.

There's amazingly also a QUB grain train loading at Goolgowi but that's from competitor Emerald Grain's site, not GNC's.

East of Griffith on the secondary main line to Temora, another PN train is loading for GNC at busy Ardlethan.

Just off the Sydney-Melbourne main line at Henty West on the former (closed) branch line to Rand, a PN empty grain train (number 9323) has been positioned for loading since the chilly hour of about 0430 AEST this morning, Thursday 6 July 2023. One assumes this golden stuff will be unloaded at GNC's Inner Harbour, Port Kembla extensive complex.

Having travelled from Cootamundra (on the Sydney-Melbourne line) at 2300 hours last night via Parkes and Narromine with empty grain wagons, another train is loading at Trangie on the Nyngan/Cobar (and previously Bourke, NSW) line, taking on its grain from a loader while the whole shebang sits on the main line. I'm not sure why they don't use the sidings at Trangie: perhaps these need attention from a track gang.

Another PN-operated train for GNC is loading at the Moree wheat sidi9ngs, a small number of kilometres south of this large town that's more than 600 kilometres from Sydney.

There are other PN grain trains operating but unless I can be pretty certain as to the grain handler, I omit, although some may well be carting grain for GNC.
