Plenty of rail activity in Victoria and NSW on Monday 10 July 2023 in moving GNC-handled grain domestically or for export via ports.

In the former's Wimmera, a Pacific National grain train looks to be loading at the important town of Nhill.

Switching to northeast Victoria, a loaded grain train is stabled at Yarrawonga (on Lake Mulwala): I assume the train crew are resting at a motel as earlier this morning, the train operated from the terminus of this standard gauge branch line, Oaklands NSW. (This was historically always a Victorian Railways' line, but met up with the NSW Government Railways' branch line at Oaklands, though the two were of different gauges).

In NSW on the Temora-Griffith line, another train is loading at busy Barellan.

Much further north, it looks as if a grain train previously loaded at Gilgandra on the busy Dubbo-Coonamble branch line. A few minutes ago, the train was at Brocklehurst, a few kilometres north of the very large rural city of Dubbo.

Further north again, loading is occurring at Moree's GNC grain sidings.

In western NSW, another loaded at Condobolin and has been waiting to cross (be passed by) the once weekly NSW TrainLink Broken Hill-bound XPlorer railcars, an excellent journey: train has a small buffet section.

This won't be the totality of rail movements today for GNC but unless I am 90 per cent certain, I exclude these other trains as on occasion they can be for rivals such as Emerald Grain.
