GNC appears to be reducing the number of trains operating from northwest NSW into Newcastle's Carrington port unloaded/ship loader.
There are just a couple of wagon rakes (a 'rake' is a train of wagons, hauled of course by locomotive(s)).
It was suggested to me that this was because of worries about a poorer harvest from the winter 2023 grain crops in that area, which in good years is a huge contributor to GNC's exportable surplus.
