super stuff dachopper thank you for reminding us all.
There was a report out a few days ago, about the market moving away from growth stocks to value stocks which I felt relevant to your thread title.
Just to clarify, quick google definition.
"Growth stocks are those companies that are considered to have the potential to outperform the overall market over time because of their future potential. Value stocks are classified as companies that are currently trading below what they are really worth and will thus provide a superior return".
So we have seen some of those tech stocks amongst the finest Apple, Alphabet , Amazon up to 18% down in the last month. Super run huge cash generating companies but who knows perhaps over valued. All stocks are being "spanked" this week but the the Proctor and Gamble's of the world which could be deemed undervalued are holding up much better.
So Growth v Value, which one is Mesoblast?
Well I suppose my first question to answer that is "do you believe in the data?"
2nd question is. "Do you believe what works on Japanese Children (with no side effects) will work on American Children"
3rd question is "Do you believe, given the actions taken and comments from the company, that approval for SRGvHD will happen in the next 12 months?
If the answer to those 3 questions are yes, then at this share price, it certainly is value and with SRGvHD breaking the "approval dam" for Stem Cells, quite exceptional growth to come. Give it 3 to 5 years and those investing at these prices will lock in a dividend yield which I am confident will be the best hedge against inflation we can find.
One final point if I may.
    From the Company website.
"Mesoblast is using its proprietary technology platform to develop and commercialize innovative allogeneic cellular medicines to treat complex diseases resistant to conventional standard of care and where inflammation plays a central role."
They say that Heart Disease is the biggest killer in the USA. I believe that it is inflammation that actually is the biggest killer.
The number 1 company in the biggest market need of them all. "Baba boom" indeed @dachopper, "baba..... bababa.... boom"!
    regards
    Yelrom
