This is definitely a stock that you need to have patience and have the resilience to hold in these "red herring" times.
However these dips are opportunities to do what the great man WB would do, “I will tell you how to become rich. Close the doors. Be fearful when others are greedy. Be greedy when others are fearful.” But I would say to people “Never invest in a business you cannot understand”, so DYOR!
For me, buying Brainchip is no different than buying a lithium stock which have not produced any particle of lithium but hold good resources and at least at the final stage to produce within 2 years.
We all agree the world will require lithium desperately to function in a renewable energy world. That's why there are numerous companies valued in the billions that have not produced lithium but almost guarantee to do so within 2 years.
We all agree the world have moved and moving fast into the AI space and that edge AI will overtake cloud based AI soon. We all know that Brainchip's edge AI SNN platform is one of the most (if not the most) advanced platform that can be immediately used by any one, even compatible with previous generation CNN platforms. The AI space will also be looking for some "standard" to be effective and Brainchip's IP is no doubt one of the front runner.
So putting that all together, am I really worried that the 3rd quarter after commercialization (that's only 9 months!) shows no income? NOT!
We all know for any company looking to incorporate edge AI into their machines/devices it will take time to design the chip with the appropriate sensors, then testing the chip for functioning, then incorporating into the device/machine, then testing over and over to collect the data for ML (machine learning), then commercialization of the product...so do people really think all this can happen in 9 months??? FMD!
The first 2 stages are free...unfortunately you have to give first before you can take...I'm fine with this and quarterly results now means nothing to me, except that I have to find extra funds to buy on the dip
However, I do agree that Brainchip do need to come out clean with at least some of the known names floating around especially after >20% dip in SP if they want any support from retail holders. All they need to do is just say "Yes, we are still working with Mercedes" or any of the known partners...that will ease a lot of people's mind and silent some of the critics that have obviously come out in droves.
Let's see what the company can come up with by Christmas in terms of announcements
