@chapman891- Re: Competitive products, I am aware that BRN's chip is much better than Intel or IBM but to suggest that IBM's TrueNorth or Intel 's Lohi chips are redundant is over simplifying what is a heavily invested and highly intellectual industry. IBM and Intel aren't small fry and if AKIDA was competitively unattainable to them, they would simply buy-out BRN . There is always a price shareholders will accept and in the scheme of the discussions, we are talking about revolutionary change here, 5,10b is not going to hurt a big company like IBM and Intel
2- Re: Revenue projections - I am unable to put down any tangible revenue numbers. Here in lies my delemma, what is BRN worth? Intel is 4x revenue, lets give BR 40x to be generous, that means they need 45m in revenue to justify
today's prices. The equation gets a lot harder if BRN were expected to double or 10x as you suggested.. My point is, the upside at today's prices are very much factored and this stock is trading in alot of emotion - that gets me nervous especially when you can buy value in other areas of the ASX
3- Re: IP Licensing - I dont have a view on this as BRN have yet to provide any solid guidance. It is impossible to predict and my hesitation in buying right now is because the market is factoring in significant revenue which I feel is 2-3 years ahead - minimum
4- Re: Commercially available alternatives - there are none today! However what are the commercial uses today? CES finished up on saturday and all the tech except for Mercedes was based on traditional AI computing. Infact, players like qualcomm have invested heavily into current technology. Once again, it feels to me like Neumorphic process is at the pioneering stage of the industry, it needs alot of software to be developed to support an expansion phase. As we all know software innovation tends to lag hardware again implying 2-3 years before commercial applications are strong enough to support a multi billion dollar company.
5- Re: Share price projections, BRN will go up and down but the big question is will it be overall vertical movements? A good example of revolutionary change that has retraced but is potentially a great buy now (i.e. 2 years later) and is LIDAR by Luminar (LAZR). This is clearly the best tech in the space and it ran hard on release of its intial technology. It then retraced for years and I expect will start to show life now. Can this chart be BRN?
My Point in all of this is not that BRN is not a great investment, it is to be cautious in putting all your eggs into the basket today. There is way too much hype and a lack of information. The only way to trade this is to keep your entries small and frequent. Its a long road and rewarding for those that can wait
