Anyone remotely interested in why they invested or should invest in Brainchip read this. It is a little chilling but from the Godfather of AI himself, the goal of AI has always been copying the human brain where neural networks have been formed. Hundreds of thousands of neural networks have formed cloud based AI which Hinton has been developed at Google and can certainly do many things "smarter" than the human brain since it is like a collection of hundreds of thousands of brain. However, whether we like it or not , or whether it's right or not, AI will inevitably will progress rapidly to the edge to really mimic the human brain and Spiking Neural Network with one-shot event based learning i.e, pure neuromorphic edge AI is the natural direction of to extend and connect cloud based AI to the edge to effectively create "smarter" gadgets to help (or destroy) mankind.
So with this in mind and the fact that Akida, being one of a handful of pure neuromorphic edge AI IP (only one commercially available that is US based), recently winning the Embeddy Award and actively being endorsed by ARM (the most ubiquitous silicon architecture) and Edge Impulse (the most prominent AI algorithm software development company), you can see why Brainchip will be a prominent AI company in the near future.
The fact that ChatGPT has ignited the AI tsumani should raise the question where will this technology going...yes, it will definitely be combined in small "parcels" with chatbot avatars and with neuromorphic edge AI chips that can independently and instantaneously learn (event based, one-shot)...that's the start of the robotic revolution!
So whether you believe it or not, it's all happening whether we like it or not
