Sending data to the cloud seems a readily available solution. However, it depends on;
- reliability of the internet ( Hi Telstra)
- availability of the internet ( Hi outback Aus)
- increased data usage in the coming years ( more like data explosion as some experts suggest )
- production and maintenance of those huge data centres, satellites etc..
- privacy issues ( certain websitesprove how no data is safe )
I am sure I have missed lots of other issues too...
