I have also tipped a few of my friends. They are very very excited. But they got in at around 0.40 and are older and not in need of the cash and then there is GST on top of that. I have more than half of my holdings at a very low prices the first buy was in single digits , from much earlier pre ASX300 listing. I will have to pay some CGT on that. The second portion was through my superfund at a higher price but because of my age and the type of fund the gains are not subject to CGT

I am not sure where your friend's first got in. But if they are at Uni age and depending on their income CGT may be an issue. If your friends want to exit may I suggest that you advice them to pull out enough to cover their initial investment and free carry the rest. Depending on their income from part time work that may avoid CGT. The other thing is just how desperately they need the money. My friends don't but its been such a long time since we were all in Uni.
