I'm tending to agree with you in terms of the re-rate.
My wife theorised that the bot accumulation and price suppression seen last year was calculated and was going to continue until news of significance dropped. Once the press got hold of the news the other week and interest in Brainchip blew up, this may have been enough for those shares to be released again to the market at higher prices.
Just a theory though.
